Samsung Galaxy Z flip has 6.7 inches of Full HD+ dynamic OLED Infinity flex display. This display is said to be made up of ultra-thin glass and not plastic. That means Samsung has made innovative folding glass display, that’s pretty impressive technology from Samsung. This screen has 22:9 aspect ratio with 60HZ refresh rate. That’s a big display and you will see big black vertical bar while playing a video and if you play it in full screen, you will notice a significant amount of video being clipped from top and bottom.

This display has a locking mechanism for various folding angles which can be used according to requirement. You can fold and use it as a laptop and even you can place it on flat surface and record like from tripod. Various functionalities are added by Samsung at various folding angles. Even the split-screen is one of that.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip screen has thin bezel which is slightly elevated than the screen surface. So whenever one folds the phone it's bezel closing on another bezel instead of glass.

Even though Samsung has come far in developing the folding phone still they have to work on removing the crease. The crease is folding part of the display. The crease is still visible in this phone and while operating the touch screen, it can get annoying. Also, the display is said to be glass but still, it’s not scratch resistant. When tested it’s found that, it can even get fingernails scratches. So the legitimacy of glass display, only coming time will prove for Samsung Galaxy Z flip.

Talking about the cover display, Samsung Galaxy Z flip comes with a tiny 1.1 inch Super AMOLED display. This display shows time and notification previews like Messages, calls etc. It can also be used for taking a selfie when mobile is closed. This display provides the smallest viewfinder.

Samsung seems to have done a lot of R&D while making hinges. This are the best hinges they have designed till now. These hinges are gapless and Samsung installed some microfibre, like small brushes to protect dust or sand particles, accidentally entering this phone.

    • 12 MP Ultrawide

  • Front Camera Details:
    • 10 MP

The front camera is a punch-hole design at the centre. You can see and feel slight curves on the screen around the front camera.

Samsung Galaxy Z flip comes with 3300mAh battery. Being a folding phone Samsung did an ok job in providing 3300 mAh battery in small space. This phone comes with wireless as well as fast charging feature. Samsung is providing 15 W fast charger with this phone.

Internal specs:

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is housed with the latest Snapdragon 855+ processor. Problem with using a powerful processor is that it generates lots of heat, for which liquid cooling is required. Which adds up to the cost as well as the weight of the phone and although being a folding phone Samsung has seamlessly added all these technical specifications in this phone is quite impressive.
